Study of an Architectural Style: Greek Revival

One of my personal favorite architectural styles is the Greek Revival style. I think it reflects power and classiness. Its main characteristics are columns, symmetrical elements, a porch entry, and simplicity. The original Greek style wasn’t as simple and presented many details, particularly on columns. Columns are a big part of greek architecture. They are three varieties: Corinthian, Doric, and Ionic. The only thing that really differentiates them is their capital, being more or less detailed as shown here.
